Service Description

An Educational Assessment investigates your child’s academic strengths and learning needs across key areas such as reading, writing, spelling, and mathematics. It is ideal for identifying learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, or Dyscalculia, and supports targeted planning for the classroom and beyond. What’s included: Parent intake interview (via telehealth) to gather developmental, educational, and behavioural history Cognitive assessment using WISC-V or WPPSI-IV to understand learning potential Academic achievement testing to assess skills in reading, writing, spelling, and maths Phonological processing assessment, where appropriate, to explore difficulties with sound-letter awareness Input from educators (e.g. teacher questionnaire or reports) Comprehensive written report with identified learning strengths and difficulties, and classroom recommendations Parent feedback session to explain results and provide guidance on next steps (e.g. learning support, accommodations, SLD diagnosis, or specialist referral) This assessment can support school funding applications, individual learning plans (ILPs), and access to intervention services. Medicare rebates may apply with a referral from a paediatrician or psychiatrist under item 82000 (Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders Scheme). If your child has an existing NDIS plan and you intend to use NDIS funding for this assessment, please select “NDIS Participants” from the booking menu. Disclaimer: Use of NDIS funding is only permitted where the assessment directly supports functional needs, capacity building, or plan goals. It is the responsibility of the participant, Plan Manager, or Support Coordinator to confirm funding eligibility within the current plan.


Cancellation Policy

We require at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a full session fee. Please contact us as early as possible if you need to make changes to your booking.
