ABOUT
Amy Capp
Registered Psychologist, BPsychSc (Hons), M.Psych
I am a AHPRA registered psychologist and hold a Master of Psychology. In addition to private practice, I work within the Department of Education Victoria at Mahogany Rise Primary School in Frankston North, supporting students with various needs in a community-focused setting.

My therapeutic approach is child led, I follow your child’s pace, their interests, and their comfort level. My aim is to make their session feel like a space that belongs to them and shape each session around their needs.

During assessments, I use a range of gold-standard tools to gain a clear understanding of your child’s profile. These include the MIDGAS, ADI-R, ADOS-2, CARS-2, WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, ABAS-3, Vineland-3, PEDI-CAT, Conners 4, BASC-3, Vanderbilt, SRS-2, WIAT-III and Sensory Profile-2. These allow me to build a clear and comprehensive understanding of your child’s strengths and areas of support.
I have experience supporting children and adolescents who learn, communicate, and process their world in different ways. This includes working with neurodivergent children, such as autistic young people and those with ADHD, as well as children who benefit from support with emotional regulation, flexible thinking, social connection, conflict resolution and executive functioning. I have worked with children in out-of-home care, children who have experienced trauma, and those navigating grief, bullying, school refusal, anxiety, depression, OCD, parental separation, self-confidence, and perfectionism.
