Cognitive Assessment

Booking is for the initial parent intake session only.

900 Australian dollars

Service Description

A cognitive assessment helps us understand your child’s cognitive profile using standardised tools such as the WISC-V or WPPSI-IV. This evaluation explores areas including verbal comprehension, working memory, and processing speed to identify intellectual strengths, giftedness, or potential cognitive delays. Results can inform eligibility for school enrichment programs, early entry, or provide evidence for funding and support for intellectual disability. Includes a comprehensive report, diagnosis if applicable and parent feedback session. Medicare rebates may apply with a referral from a paediatrician or psychiatrist under item 82000 (Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders Scheme). If your child has an existing NDIS plan and you intend to use funding for this ADOS assessment, please select “NDIS Participants” from the booking menu. Disclaimer: NDIS funding may only be used where the assessment supports functional needs, capacity building, or plan goals. The ADOS-2 is a standardised observational tool that may form part of a broader diagnostic assessment. It is the responsibility of the participant, Plan Manager, or Support Coordinator to confirm whether this service is eligible for funding under their current plan.

Cancellation Policy

We require at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a full session fee. Please contact us as early as possible if you need to make changes to your booking.
