Autism Assessment

Service Description

An autism assessment is a comprehensive assessment designed to explore your child’s social communication, thinking style, sensory profile, and everyday functioning to determine whether they meet criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder. It includes: Parent intake interview Cognitive testing (e.g. WISC-V or WPPSI-IV) ADOS-2 (semi-structured social interaction assessment) Social Responsiveness Scale – Second Edition (SRS-2) Adaptive functioning assessment (e.g. Vineland-3) Input from teachers, educators, or other professionals Following assessment, you will receive a detailed diagnostic report and a parent feedback session. This assessment can be used to support school planning, NDIS access, and informed therapy recommendations. A formal diagnosis will be provided if applicable. Medicare rebates may apply with a referral from a paediatrician or psychiatrist under item 82000 (Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders Scheme). Disclaimer: NDIS funding may only be used where the assessment supports functional needs, capacity building, or plan goals. The ADOS-2 is a standardised observational tool that may form part of a broader diagnostic assessment. It is the responsibility of the participant, Plan Manager, or Support Coordinator to confirm whether this service is eligible for funding under their current plan.


Cancellation Policy

We require at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a full session fee. Please contact us as early as possible if you need to make changes to your booking.
